KajNtug Charity: Openning a New Door for The Lost Children

The dreams of many children and the hope of those who dream seem an endless mission only to be conqured by despair and disadvantaged circumstances. Only when this wall is broken that a door will open and opportunities can, then, begin to flow through. How will this wall be broken? These children must have and be given the opportunity to pursue dreams in which they should not have to fight for but only to search for. The opportunities should lay within grasps from these children and not so far that they live their lives believing is not achievable. These opportunites call for an organization that will assist to break this wall and allow for dreams and hopes to peak into the lives of these children.
KajNtug Children's Fund, Inc. was established in May of 2002 with an appropriation focus to aid poor, disabled, and orphaned children. KajNtug's mission is to give aid and assistance to children as defined in its goals and guidelines. The organization was established with a hope to reach to those disadvantaged children who do not have the equal opportunity to pursue their dreams or do not have the ability to aid in their everyday living. Within the establishment, there are three main programs with unique and specific service areas to which focus within the needs of these children. The three programs are: providing educational programs, providing every necessities such as food, shelter, clothing, etc., and aiding support with medical expenses to those disabled children.
The educational program was designed to give an opportunity for those children who do not have the means to pursue education and to those who do not realize the importance of education. The goal is to mentor and work on a one-on-one basis with these children and counsel them to pursue higher education. Within its service areas, the educational program also provides after school care, child care (pre-learning), and community education. These service areas provide an alternative solution for at-risk youths to stay in school and also to pursuse higher education.
Having the necessities in life is an important aspect that is looked upon by KajNtug Children's Fund, Inc. Providing food, shelter, and clothing is a necissity that, according to KajNtug, should not be deprived of by these children. These are items that children need to be able to take one step further toward a fulfilling future in which they hope awaits for them.
KajNtug also supports and aid with medical expenses for those children who may be considered as disabled. Providing medical equipments and aiding with medical expenses are examples as service areas within this program. This has been created so that children who do not have the means to have medical equipments for regular function may have them and those who do not have the support for medical expenses may have some sort of assistance.
One service area within the programs as described in KajNtug's goal is to provide gift items for special occasions. This year of 2002, during the Christmas Holiday and the New Year Celebration, KajNtug was able to aid two needy families and provide gift items for children. These gift items were classified to be needs for the children who received them. This event was carried out as it would bring joy and happiness to children who would, otherwise, not have such gifts at a time that should be celebrated with joy.
During the Hmong New Year Celebration in Appleton, KajNtug Children's Fund provided gift items at the event for children. These gift items were provided as free gift raffles for the general public that attended the event. Most give away gift items are notebooks, pencils, and other toys. These gift items were to be given as a memory of the New Year and as gifts from KajNtug.
During Christmas, KajNtug sponsored two families in the Fox Valley. The two families sponsored this year were determind of offering coats, jackets, notebooks, and pencils. The coats and jackets were given as necessities for the winter season for needed children. Notebooks and pencils were given as an enoucragement to stay in school and carry on KajNtug's Education Programs.
KajNtug hope to aid more families next year and be able to aid with other services. It is also a hope for KajNtug that the programs provided will have support from the general public. As of this year, KajNtug made it possible by recieved contribution from Oshkosh B Gosh and McCain Snack Food USA. Support is greatly needed and will go toward a good cause to aid poor, disabled, and orphaned children. "Even if helping a little at a time, that would lead to much greater support in the future", Seng Lee (Board President). KajNtug Children's Fund is in need of monetary support as well as itemize donation support.
